The Presales Consultant will deliver technical consultancy and pre-sales activities, and transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. They will assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompany Sales Account Managers on customer meetings. They will work in the development of formal written sales proposals and tender responses, present and differentiate product offerings at a technical level.
- Serve as the technical day-to-day point of contact of a specific product line for the sales team and customers.
- Attend meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
- Prepares bill of materials and necessary documents to assist the sales team in providing proposals for clients
- Provides product, service, or technical information by answering questions and requests in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
- Conduct Solution Demonstration and Proof of Concept
- Provide accurate and timely management information, to include – activity reports, deals, and prospect qualification
- Communicate regularly both verbally and in writing, with customers, prospective customers, Sales Teams, and your manager
- Helps the sales team achieve its revenue targets, by assisting in leads generating activities and prospect/account activities to move the opportunities in the sales cycle.
- Identifies current and future customer solutions requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand their requirements.
- Travels periodically to meet with domestic clients where necessary
- Participate where needed, in achieving the goals of the sales and marketing department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- 1-year experience working in Enterprise Systems Management and IT infrastructure environments architecting solutions, designing process, and implementing technology is desired (Email Systems, Active Directory, Web Server, Relational database management Systems – MSSQL or Oracle)
- Familiarity with multi-platform environments and desktop knowledge is required. (Windows 2003 or 2008, Windows XP, Windows 7)
- ITIL and PRINCE2 awareness is desired but not required
- Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to build and present high-quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
- Sound communication skills with good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to take on multiple assignments
- Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.
